Worth buying. I bought these to freeze caramelized onion slices for later use. Once they are ready, the caramelized onions are easy to stuff into these nice rectangular cubes. The lid fits perfectly. The mold keeps its shape even when there are caramelized onions in the silicone mold. If you have bought silicone products like this before, you know that it is a very flexible ball, very soft and keeps its shape even when filled with caramelized onions. Once they are set, they are put out. The only problem is that when I cleaned it thoroughly, the onion smell did not go away. I cleaned it well with soap and water. But that did not help. My husband was more careful with the dishwasher and cleaned it with hot water and soap, but that did not help. I have it in the cupboard for a month and it still smells like onions. I am still happy with this purchase, but I realized that I had to freeze the product in a silicone mold, which is virtually immune to the onion smell. I don't know if the onion smell will come out, but I have been cooking for a long time to know that it probably will.December 27, 2020

It's great. It really works. I recommend cleaning it a few times before using it. It has a strong silicone or rubber smell that is pretty nasty, but luckily the smell went away after a few cleanings.June 12, 2020

It's OK. The silicone is good quality. It's very easy to demold. Very durable. The only downside I can think of is that the liquid takes longer to freeze and since the volume is only 1 cup, it also takes longer to thaw.May 24, 2020

Very good. I made sure the food was completely cool before putting it on the trays. I froze it and took it out the next day. Ice started to form on each plate so it was definitely not sealed completely.January 8, 2020
