Not suitable for people with arthritis. It is hard for me to hold the wide handle with my hands to pour water. I have small hands and it hurts when I try to grab and lift them. Other than that, this is a great kettle.December 17, 2024

Five stars if the heating element wasn't aluminum! Wait! I'll check again. I wonder if the heating element that comes in contact with the water is aluminum. If it is, it's a big risk. The company has refused to answer so far. They say it's confidential information. Honestly, after reading the reviews, I'm not sure. I don't know how a product can get stars just because something is missing from the packaging or you overfilled it and something spilled, but this teapot is perfect. Complaints include overflow. Don't overfill it and don't put tea in boiling water before opening. The teapot is discolored. Something is missing because you refilled the diffuser with tea while brewing, order a new one. It's all explained clearly. These are human errors and don't deserve 1 or 2 stars. It's very convenient to operate, so I left it alone. I now make hand-poured coffee to avoid plastic and get hot water faster than any other method. I'd like to suggest one or two celebrities to check their thoughts before writing some nonsense that has nothing to do with actual performance.December 16, 2024

Wish it lasted longer. My husband bought this kettle about 2 years ago. It worked fine…but one day it wouldn't shut when the water was boiling. Of course, when you leave and come back, all the water comes out, depending on how much water you drink and how long you were away…and the handle gets too hot. It broke yesterday so I'm thinking of buying a new one. Would I buy it again? Not sure at this point.December 6, 2024

Returned for resale. The teapot came in a box that was obviously opened. The tea strainer was missing. This was probably a return item that no one looked at. The teapot itself is great, but you'll need to pay full price for a new item, not a return item.November 13, 2024

Boils water quickly. Good kettle, but a few things to note: 1. The capacity is 1.8 liters. 2. It boils water very quickly. 3. The walls of the kettle get very hot, so if you want a kettle that doesn't cool down, don't buy this one. 4. It's very noisy. 5. It doesn't fill up. Overall, we like this kettle.October 26, 2024

It boils water very quickly. I had a few minor issues with my old kettle and had to replace it with another one. I did some research and decided to get this one. It came highly recommended and I can see why. It has a nice blue light when you turn it on and it boils water very quickly. The large opening makes it easy to fill and clean. I only gave it 4 stars because the lid didn't work very well and I had to try several times to get it to open. I think it was the pressure. I didn't want to package it up and send it back until I was able to open the lid several times in a row without any issues. I use it quite often but I still sometimes have issues with the lid not opening on the first or even second or third try. However, I stick with this tea kettle because I love it and I drink hot tea so often that I can live without it!September 20, 2024

With normal use, it should last about three years. I've bought three of these electric kettles over the past six years. My wife uses them to make coffee several times a day, and they work great. However, I've found that with normal use, they last about three years, which is pretty good for a heating device. The first time was three years ago, when the heater broke. Eventually, the device stopped shutting off automatically, and I had to shut it off manually. But overall, the device has worked well, so every time it breaks, I've replaced it with a similar model.September 10, 2024

Had this coffee maker for several years with no issues. Bought it in 2022 and it worked great until recently. I love how fast it boils/heats, it's good for multiple people for tea, and can be used as a french press. But now it randomly turns on. At first I thought maybe the switch was stuck and wouldn't shut off completely, but I checked the switch after the first use and it didn't seem to be connected.March 2, 2024

Replacement. This is a replacement for an old model I had for 3 or 4 years, which eventually burned out. I only gave it 4 stars because the old one started to smoke and would have caught fire if I wasn't there. I'm sure if it was made in Austria instead of China it would have lasted 20 years. It tastes sweet to me…but if you increase the water volume to 1.0 while it's cooking, it gets bubbly on top. I reduced the water volume but the beer didn't soak in as well as I would have liked. I would buy the large bottle instead of the small one.September 11, 2023

The auto shutoff feature did not work. It worked fine and heated up quickly. However, I had to be careful because although it promised to shut off automatically, it did not do so and continued to work. The kettle worked great but was missing a tea filter. I was just wondering about the tea kettle not having a tea insert. It works just as advertised and is fast. However, I wish it had an automatic stop-boiling feature, which I think wouldn't be hard to add. The product doesn't stop the boiling process until the water is gone, which means energy is wasted before the water is all evaporated. That being said, it should prevent a house fire, which is great, but it should stop the boiling process after about two minutes for safety reasons. The water boils very quickly and I have no complaints. For the price, it's still good value.February 2, 2023

After extensive testing. We use this kettle several times a day. After 3 years of use it started to show signs of wear, the filter in the spout started to crumble and soon after the lid wouldn't close properly. Customer service responded. We were so impressed with the device that we bought a second one and put it in our summer home. Unfortunately, it broke after two months and the company has not responded. Overall it's OK. After using it for a while, I was bothered by the fact that it doesn't have a "keep warm" function. You have to pick it up after each use and restart it when you need more hot water. The lid also doesn't open all the way, but stays at a 45 degree angle, which makes filling difficult. If you hold it under the faucet, you have to hold it at an angle to fill it. Steam comes out of the power button. I've had mine for less than two years and now steam comes out of the power button and water comes out of the inside of the handle. This makes me sad. But it works great. I haven't had any issues so far.December 5, 2021

It's hard to fill. The downside is that it's hard to fill. It works well, heats up quickly, and looks nice. I have to use a cup to fill it. It's hard to fill from the tap, and impossible to fill from the fridge. It's a hinged lid. In fact, it doesn't even open when you press the button. great kettle at an affordable price. We don't need complicated temperature settings for various teas, so this basic model is good enough for us. I like that it's glass so you can see how full the kettle is and if the water is almost boiling. It boils water quickly and is very efficient. Here are some cons: 1. It's not insulated, so the body of the kettle gets hot, but this isn't a problem for us since no one in the house will touch it with their bare hands. 2. It's a little unstable. We don't know if it's intentionally unstable or a design flaw, but it seems to work better if you try to put the body of the kettle back on the base. Reliable and fast. I love everything about this kettle, it allows me to brew coffee and tea at my desk and pour it into the coffee machine. My only complaint is that I don't know when to clean it and it accumulates limescale even though I use heavily filtered water to remove fluoride. This could have been avoided if I knew I had to clean it more often. I'm curious to know if a razor blade or some other method could remove the limescale on the bottom.August 3, 2021

Great for heating water quickly and safely. Although I bought it last April, I didn't start using it until December. I've used it on and off since then. I like how quickly it heats and how long it keeps hot. I like the auto shutoff feature. My only complaint is that the metal piece on the bottom falls off. I uploaded a video and photos for you to see. That being said, I'm thinking of getting one for my elderly mother for Mother's Day. So far it has worked great. We have bought this kettle twice. Both times it lasted over a year and then it died. We use this kettle several times a day, but I like the automatic shutoff feature. Our switch stopped working after a year, and after 13 months it stopped working completely. Tea strainer. A glass teapot allows water to boil quickly. I agree with the suggestion to use filtered or bottled water. My problem is the tea strainer tube is supposed to go under the lid. The tube itself is metal and very thin. I couldn't get it to fit in. Once I get it I think it will make a good pot for loose tea. I drink iced tea every day. Heats up quickly. There are several similar models out there and people have been concerned about how quickly it heats up. I found that one cup of water boiled in 140 seconds and the second cup took just 30 seconds. This model only has an on/off button and no audible alarm. The only criticism hence the 4 stars is that the lid does not open all the way to 90 degrees. This makes cleaning difficult. However, refilling is not a problem.May 13, 2020

The lid is stuck which is annoying. Update: It seems there is a way to open the lid. You can't just click it, you have to press it to open. I updated my review. While I loved this kettle at first, the lid is stuck and I can't tell if it opens with one touch or 100 minutes. I don't know if my kettle is broken or what but it's too late to return it now. It heats up pretty fast but can overflow. We use it every day and it definitely heats the water to a pretty high temperature. I'd like one with an adjustable temperature for my different types of tea. 90% Satisfied. Review Comment: From the day I posted my review, I had no problems opening the lid on the first try. It's funny because I waited a few weeks to post my first review so I gave it 90% satisfaction and 4/5 stars because this issue wasn't an issue until after a while. The lid on this kettle doesn't open easily. I usually have to press the button a few times to get it to open. I've tried pressing gently and I've tried pressing harder but it doesn't seem to make a difference. I prefer the brand I bought for the office a few months ago. Heats up fast. This kettle heats up very quickly. I give it a 4 for two reasons. 1. I bought it because I wanted to make my own tea but it didn't steep long enough so I steeped the tea in water before turning it on. 2.
